Who we are

Our ITALIAN based company – OMPECO srl – has been engaged for years in the construction of heavy duty machinery for the sterilization of hospital waste with high infectious risk and for the treatment of municipal solid waste. After being successful in some 25 countries, we are now also based in Dubai for the Middle East/ GCC region & covering Africa from Mauritius as well since 2016. Our flagship Patented product is the CONVERTER ,

an Electro Mechanical machine that allows you to treat waste on site and that does not use chemicals, combustion, microwave or pressure to do so and does not produce any type of emission, both concerning wastewater or gas emission. The technology exploits moist heat crushing and sterilization, without the use of pressure. Inside the chamber of THE CONVERTER a temperature of 151° C is reached and this guarantees the sterilization of the treated waste.

In about 30 minutes of a 7 steps process cycle the CONVERTER allows to transform the infected waste into a sterile substance, dry and odorless fluff called RDF, a kind of safe sawdust that can be reused in bio-fuel or in cement factories and after reducing by 80% the volume and 50% the weight of the initial waste. Various industry studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of our technology in the annihilation of colonies of viruses, microbes and bacteria present in waste. OMPECO has worked on the disposal of Covid-19 waste in other countries. Attached you can find letters of reference from our partners in Montenegro and South Africa, who fight against the huge amount of contaminated waste using the CONVERTER technology.

The Converter technology is based on the principle of mechanical to thermal energy transformation, hence the machines can reach an optimal sterilization temperature of 150°C, without the use of high pressure. CONVERTER® treats waste without any pollution; with zero emissions of any harmful substances into the environment.
