The NATO Codification System is a Standardization Agreement approach to identify, classify and number items of supply and assign an NSN (NATO Stock Number) to each item of supply. For these reasons, the NCS system was unanimously accepted and adopted by all nations that signed the Treaty of the Atlantic Alliance.
It is based on the principle , as an NSN identifies a unique item of supply. By doing so, one avoids logistics duplication and the following results are obtained: consolidated supplies; effective use of stockpiles and their eventual reuse within interforce; use of obsolete parts and / or of those no longer in use on systems still online, may be those provided by other Armed Forces (AF).

The certification has enabled OMPECO to address its target market with high quality standards, which ensure durability, sustainability and efficiency in the management and production processes, in the administration of personnel and environmental protection processes.
Certifying compliance with the international standards, RINA SERVICES helps organizations protect themselves from unskilled competition and gives the customer the opportunity to make their purchasing decisions based on objective parameters.

Working with our Partner X-MET Limited, the CONVERTER has been approved by the United States Department of Agriculture to process regulated garbage. The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is responsible for ensuring the welfare of American agriculture by preventing the introduction of animal and plant pests and diseases into the United States. One essential method to prevent disease dissemination is to ensure the effective mitigation of regulated garbage from International Catering Waste entering US ports and Airports.

The CONVERTER can now be used to process this waste across the United States to ensure the waste is transformed into a sterile, inert flock, which is then able to be used as a fuel or disposed of as a domestic waste.
X-Met and OMPECO have also been approved by the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA), of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs of the United Kingdom to use the Converter as a pre-treatment, handling operation within the current regulatory framework to process international catering waste (which is a category 1 ABP). The Converter provides significant improvements in terms of biosecurity for movement and handling of International Catering Waste.
